Student Agreement: Terms and Conditions

Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Self-Assessment Questionnaire
The purpose of this self-assessment is to help students evaluate their Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) skills in relation to the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). This will determine whether additional support is required to successfully complete the program.
The questionnaire assesses five key skill areas based on the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF):
1. Learning – The ability to plan, organise, and adapt learning strategies to complete tasks and improve performance.
2. Reading – The ability to understand and interpret written workplace documents, policies, and instructions.
3. Writing – The ability to complete workplace forms, write reports, and communicate information effectively in writing.
4. Oral Communication – The ability to engage in workplace discussions, provide verbal instructions, and communicate confidently.
5. Numeracy – The ability to perform calculations, interpret numerical data, and manage time effectively for work-related tasks. Each skill is assessed at different ACSF levels (from Level 2 to Level 5), depending on the complexity required for the course. Students must reflect on their abilities in these areas to determine if they meet the required standards.

Instructions:
• Read each statement carefully.
• Reflect on your abilities in relation to each statement.
• If you agree with all statements at the required level for your program (please see course entry requirements on our website), you are considered to have proficient LLN skills.
• If you do not meet the requirements, you should not proceed with this application. If you are unsure, you may contact us to discuss the option of undertaking a formal LLN assessment.
